11 Possible Side Effects of Sermorelin

It’s over the course of this section that we must address the potential negative issues associated with utilising sermorelin so that you get the “whole picture” - this will help you to determine how compatible it is going to be with your physicality.

We’ll first consider the importance of having regular regular blood work performed whilst on cycle before delving further into the potential negative manifestations that can occur when using this and most other secretagogue types.

Regular Blood Work

Blood work is somewhat of a false label – it merely means to have a blood test performed in order to see what state of internal health you are currently in (as opposed to having any “work” carried out on the blood to alter it in any way.)

These tests are vital before, during and after an anabolic cycle of any nature in order to determine precisely what negative effect (if any at all) may be occurring as a result of your product utilisation. Arguably, the most important check is the pre cycle check as this is going to reveal any contraindications to using sermorelin (or any other product) in the first place.

Should your blood reveal any inconsistencies (when compared to “normal” blood) that may lead to the manifestation of adverse issues through taking sermorelin, then it is imperative that you do not continue with your cycle. Intra cycle checks (roughly every 2 – 3 weeks unless you’re performing a particularly harsh combined AAS and gh secretagogue cycle, in which case weekly checks will prove mandatory) are also going to be vital as means of gauging ongoing health.

Again, should any adverse developments arise that lead to your GP advising you to cease sermorelin use, then that is exactly what you should do. We’ll now address the most common side effects associated with sermorelin; please note that the majority of them can be alleviated via a simple reduction of dose.

We will state which conditions / situations require emergency medical attention in their individual sections.

Injection Site Reactions

Injection site reactions are extremely common and can occur for any number of reasons, though this adverse issue is more commonly associated with novice users (this isn’t to be taken as a “firm” rule though – these reactions can happen to anyone.)

Typically, irritation at the injection site will dictate that the skin has been introduced to some form of harmful bacteria during the injection process – this can occur as a result of:

  • A lack of cleanliness before, during and after injecting (largely relating to inadequate self care concerning sterilisation)
  • Contaminated produce
  • Ineffective administration (thus damaging areas of the skin / underlying tissue)

Typically, it’s more common that irritation will take place due to the injection site not being cleansed thoroughly or the relevant administration process not being adhered to rather than a product being contaminated. It’s also worth noting that due to individual genetics, first time / novice users may find that it takes their body quite some time to get used to the compound they are injecting.

Whilst the body acclimatizes, it can sometimes treat the product being injected like a harmful agent which will in turn signal inflammation as the white blood cells gather at the site to face what they believe is some kind of infection. Following subsequent use, it’s likely that the system will progressively stop releasing antibodies as it becomes familiar with sermorelin.

Please observe the following images in regards to injection site inflammation / irritation.

The latter image shows vague redness in the area and is typical of the kind of irritation most users suffering from this side effect would encounter. On balance, the former image indicates that bacteria has spread from the injection site and is making its way further afield within the body. This would warrant medical attention to ensure that it was nothing sinister (for instance cellulitis may have set in by working its way through the open wound at the injection site.)

In either instance, you could simply choose to ignore the symptoms and keep on thoroughly cleaning / applying antibacterial ointment to the area, but in the case of the first image; you may be ignoring it to your detriment.

Safety should be a priority at all times. You can avoid any irritation occurring whatsoever through applying yourself to appropriate administration guidelines and only securing your produce from legitimate suppliers.

Headaches

Headaches are a fairly common symptom when taking growth hormone and secretagogues, one that the majority of users are likely to encounter at some point.

It is believed that headaches arise as a result of intracranial hypertension caused by (typically) high doses of growth hormone or secretagogues being present within the body.

There is not necessarily one reason and one reason only for the manifestation of these “aches”, but they likely arise as a result of excess fluid being present within the skull cavity which itself arises due to increased water retention (oedema); a known growth hormone side effect.

You should not worry too much should these headaches manifest, but it would be wise to reduce your dose by a quarter, then a half until symptoms subside. Should they persist, medical assistance would then be necessary.

Flushing

Flushing is another fairly common secretagogue symptom, one that does not warrant a great deal of concern unless it coincides with headaches, chest pains or any other irregular activity within the body that causes the user to feel ill.

Flushing is the result of a rapid change in body temperature; it’s important to remember that due to the whirlwind of activity that’ll be taking place inside the body following the short sermorelin integration window, every aspect of your internal processes will speed up.

As your organs and metabolism work harder, you will in turn find that your internal body temperature increases and may remain elevated for several hours.

As such, rapid temperature alterations are certainly far from being uncommon and are in fact to be expected, to an extent.

Should these flushes occur regularly and intensely, several hours out from your integration period – this would warrant medical attention with regards to a potential elevation in blood pressure amongst other possible ailments.

Difficulty Swallowing

Difficulty swallowing is a less common but nonetheless possible symptom whilst utilising growth hormone and secretagogues; there are several potential reasons why the user may suffer from this adverse issue.

We’ll first try to rule out the most likely reasons, before stating when medical attention may be required. Due to an increase in metabolic rate, it may simply be that the user isn’t ingesting enough water, thus resulting in a dry (unlubricated) mouth / digestive tract thus making it more difficult to swallow.

You should always ensure that you drink between 2.5 – 3.5 litres of water per day in order to guarantee optimum hydration levels. Should water intake not be the problem, it is entirely possible that oedema (water retention) is to blame; certain aspects of your internal physicality may be swollen as a result of holding excess fluid, which in turn may lead to difficulties when swallowing.

A third potential / common reason closely ties in with dehydration – this time from the use of fat burning agents. It’s highly common for those using supplementary items for fat burning purposes (like T3 for instance) to severely dehydrate themselves. Consider that this too may be the cause of your difficulties in relation to swallowing.

If none of the above apply to your current situation and you are experiencing difficulties when swallowing; it would be best to consult with a medical professional for advice as a growth may have developed within the throat region. An MRI scan may be necessary to determine whether or not this is the case depending on what your doctor says. Try to rule out the previous possibilities first before trying to progress onto this stage.

Hyperactiveness

Hyperactiveness is to be expected to a certain degree and is arguably a positive benefit depending on your perspective.

As a result of the increase in internal activity that occurs whilst using sermorelin (and the subsequent increase in metabolic activity) it is fair to say that the user will feel more “energetic” and “alert” than normal.

This is a completely typical and normal way to feel whilst on growth hormone, but it is fair to say that there are periods (night time for instance) where hyperactivity may prove to be detrimental.

In these circumstances, it would be wise for the user to reduce their dose in order to help alleviate symptoms. No medical attention would be required unless this hyperactivity lead to the development of anxiety / other unsettling side effects in a potent fashion. For any user without pre existing medical conditions, hyperactivity is unlikely to prove severely detrimental.

Dizziness

Dizziness is a fairly frequent occurrence when utilising growth hormone secretagogues and human growth hormone – whilst there could be several explanations as to why it arises, the most likely is once again as a result of oedema.

As internal organs collect fluid and swell, they may compress the veins thus making it difficult for blood to return to the heart rapidly enough to accommodate swift movement. This may lead to spells of dizziness occurring when the user tries to (for instance) get up from a seated position rapidly or stand up from a lying position.

Whilst this side effect is rather common and typically low risk, should dizziness begin to take hold regularly (and potently) when the above movement types are not being performed and over a sustained period of time; this would certainly warrant medical attention.

Sleepiness

With all of the internal processes involved in utilising growth hormone secretagogues, it’s fair to say that there are going to be periods of “peak” activity (following injection) in conjunction with periods of declination.

During these latter phases, the user may experience somewhat of a “crash” or “comedown” – following which energy levels will hit a lull.

You shouldn’t be overly concerned by this side effect; it is common to experience sleepiness when taking any item that can elevate your body’s internal processes. What goes “up” must come “down” after all.

Only if sleepiness persists following growth hormone use should you consider seeking medical advice, as this could indicate that an unwanted development of some kind has arisen from your sermorelin use.

Nausea

Nausea can occur for many, many reasons whilst using any anabolic compound including all growth hormone and secretagogue varieties

Typically, this nausea can arise as a result of the user having an empty stomach prior to administering sermorelin; following its integration, the enormous “rush” of activity that subsequently occurs within the body can then leave the user feeling hypoglycaemic before they are able to implement carbohydrates.

This isn’t always the cause though, and nausea can arise as a result of everything from genetic incompatibility with growth hormone (though as the body gets used to the compound, this incompatibility would likely subside) to anxiety related nausea. Should nausea present itself potently and daily over a sustained period of time (several weeks) then this would without doubt warrant medical attention, if nothing else to acquire some peace of mind that there were no underlying issues present.

Changes In Taste

Whilst the precise reasons why are not necessarily known, changes in hormone levels have been linked to taste perception / experience.

Considering sermorelin is going to increase your levels of growth hormone in conjunction with several other bodily processes including at least mild “agitation” of the endocrine system, it’s safe to say that your hormonal balance won’t be exactly as it is under “normal” circumstances.

This in turn could easily lead to altered taste perception.

This is not a symptom to be particularly concerned about unless it coincides with a sustained and potent feeling of illness, in which case you’ll need to consult with a medical professional for further assistance.

Chest Tightness

Chest tightness is a fairly uncommon symptom that can arise whilst taking growth hormone secretagogues due to any one of several reasons.

The most common would be as a result of water retention creating pressure within the chest cavity owing to the swelling of internal organs. As well as this potential reason, it’s possible that severe dehydration may lead to restricted breathing. If neither of the above situations resonates with your current circumstances, then it’s imperative that you seek medical help immediately, especially if this symptom arises in conjunction with other detrimental issues.

As with almost all of the above symptoms, the potent manifestation of this issue wouldn’t by default necessarily indicate internal disarray, however; seeking medical advice would at the very least serve to ensure peace of mind and counteract / discover any issue before it became a severe problem.

These side effects are very rare and should not worry users if they have good health condition and respect the doses and protocol.
